About the Artist
Susan Langone has been an artist her entire life. For over two decades she has lived and worked as a mixed media artist from her riverfront studio in Piermont, NY. Formally trained in painting, Susan received her BFA from The Fashion Institute of Technology, then worked alongside famed designer Larry Laslo — igniting a career that spans fine art, interior design, and art therapy.
She considers her artwork Modern Folk. Some call her paintings “painted quilts.” Her work speaks to all things handmade and high touch — the lost arts of textile design, cutting, pasting, and sewing. It stands in direct opposition to today’s fast, high-tech insta-art. Her sophisticated eye for color and combining patterns fully exudes her optimism and positivity.

Art Therapy Practice
The Center for Resiliency is rooted in the Human Potential movement — the belief that every individual can reach their very best self. Art therapy combines psychotherapy with creative art making, helping patients reach optimal daily function so they can create a life of joy, wellness, and meaning.
Creating art is powerful because often words are simply not enough. The Center provides a safe environment that fosters resiliency and expression through therapeutic art interventions, helping patients find peace through activities that bring calm.
